Product info

The round-leaved Sundew, Drosera rotundifolia is a well-known species of carnivorous plant catching and digesting insects with its round, sticky snares. These snares are positioned on the long stalks of the leaves and stick up straight from the leaves of the plant. When a fly, spider or any other creature lands on one of the dew-like drops of mucilage of a snare, it gets stuck. Very slowly the plant will then roll its leaf around the prey and subsequently digest it. This carnivorous plant is also indigenous to Holland. With a maximum diameter of 4 to 5 centimetres the Drosera rotundifolia is not really large. The flowers are white and can grow to high above the plant itself to a height of some 30 centimetres. Araflora sells many variants of the sundew. We suggest you come and have a look at what we have on offer.
