Product info
Drosera roraimae is a South American sundew which is endemic to Brazil and Venezuela. The small sundew forms a rosette of short rounded trapping leaves that grow on an extended petiole. Drosera roraimae is characteristically hairy in the centre of the rosette and changes to a beautiful orange-red colour when exposed to the right light conditions. Over the course of a few years a tower of old dead trapping leaves can form below the current rosette.
Plant care
Drosera roraimae is best cultivated in a mixture of peat, sand and perlite or a sphagnum and perlite mix. Like most South American species Drosera roraimae likes a high light intensity and high humidity. A terrarium with artificial lighting is most suitable for this kind of sundew. Drosera roraimae requires a warm temperature during the day (CA 23 ° C) and a decrease in temperature in the evening (CA 15 ° C)
