Product infoDischidia pectenoides is found on the Philippines. Aside from ant plant, Dischidia is also called 'Urn plant', due to the shape of its flowers. The species is genetically closely related to the Hoya plants 'Wax plants'.
Plant careDon'T water this exotic plant Dischidia pectenoides too often, once every two or three days is plenty. Let the soil go 'Nearly' dry in between watering sessions. Use a properly porous medium, such as orchid mix. This plant thrives under high humidity. Bright, indirect, filtered light is optimal. When placed in a terrarium, the amount of light should be medium to intense. Under intense light, the the leaves will turn more red. When dry, the leaves will become more succulent 'Harder'.
