Product infoBegonia amphioxus’ originates on Borneo, Indonesia. The leaves, when moved by the wind, resemble butterflies. This species was not described until Martin Sands of New England'S Royal Botanical Garden did so in 1990. The scientific name comes from ‘amphi’ which means ‘both’ and ‘oxys’ which means ‘pointy’. The Begonia amphioxus belongs to the bushy or shrubby Begonias.
Plant careCan only be kept only at high humidity places such as a terrarium. The plant is easy to clone.
