Orchid 'Pleurothallis semiscabra'

Due to the large distribution area of this plant, namely Central America and the northern South America, this mini orchid is very adaptable. In the wild, Pleurothallis semiscabra grows on trees in moist forests. This plant prefers a light spot in terrariums on a fern root back wall or an epiphyte trunk. The roots should always be able to absorb sufficient water and dry slightly between waterings. Once the plant is accustomed to its new environment, small, striking yellow flowers will grow.

Pleurothallis semiscabra requires a light position. Spray daily with soft water such as osmosis water. Additional fertilizing is not immediately necessary. Give this orchid an airy substrate or place the mini orchid on fern root or an epiphyte stem. Always put sphagnum around the roots if the plant is not placed in a substrate to ensure sufficient moisture.
