Product infoThe Syngonium Variegated is part of the wide variety of syngoniums that Araflora offers. This plant, which originally comes from Central and South America, distinguishes itself with its beautiful dark green leaves covered with white flecks. In some cases, even the stems will develop some white flecks on them which make the plant even more attractive to look at! There is more sturdiness to this plant then meets the eye. If it’s hot enough outside, this plant can even decorate your balcony. Even though the plant is rather bushy at first, it will likely start to climb, and it will eagerly try to get hold of something to cling onto. You can help the plant by using a plantstick to give it some support. It is important to mention that this plant is poisonous when digested, so it might be wise to keep it at a safe distance from children and pets.
Plant careThe Syngonium Variegated is a very easy indoor plant that thrives in a sun filled room. It’s better not to put the plant in direct sunlight because it may cause the leaves to get a slightly bleached look. The best method to check if the plant needs water is to check if the first few centimeters of the soil feel dry. This will probably amount in the Syngonium needing water around once a week. In colder months once every two weeks will be enough. It wouldn’t hurt to sprinkle some water on its leaves a few times a week to stay on top of the humidity your Syngonium needs. If you want to keep it outside or your balcony, make sure you take the plant inside once the temperature drops below 15 degrees Celcius.
