Blue star fern 'Phlebodium aureum 'Big''

Phlebodium aureum 'Big' originates in many different types of climates, ranging from deep swamps to humid forest canopies. This makes it easy to cultivate as a house plant. The silvery blue leaves can grow to a length of between 60 and 120 centimetres. They are extremely sturdy and unlikely to drop. The leaves will retain their contemporary bluish-green hue as long as the plant is cared for in the manner suggested.

Phlebodium aureum 'Big' needs plenty of light but must not be exposed to direct sunlight. It needs watering only once a week, from the side, as watering in the middle of the plant could cause the leaves to drop.
