Anthurium radicans come from Brazil and Ecuador in South America. The species has two types of leaves: Ordinary and ‘padded’. A purple spadix or flowering spike grows out of the red to brown/green bract. The leaf size is approximately 15cm maximum. The Latin ‘radicans’ means ‘with root-stems’.
Plant care
Place the Anthurium radicans in a light spot and keep the earth moist. This Anthurium is a creeper. Anthurium radicans like most Anthuria loves a moist air, therefore the mist the plant weekly. This exotic plant loves temperatures between 10-30 degrees. If desired, give the plant a small amount of liquid plant food each month during the growing period. As potting soil use a mixture of half potting soil and half orchid mix or perlite.
