Dionaea muscipula 'Korrigans' is a successful Venus flytrap cultivar – a variety developed and propagated in cultivation by means of selective breeding. Despite its strange appearance, Dionaea muscipula 'Korrigans' has leaf traps that snap shut to prevent its prey from escaping.The leaves of its traps can be as big as 6 centimetres in diameter.
Plant care
Dionaea muscipula 'Korrigans' likes wet conditions and prefers to stand in direct sunlight. It should be watered with rainwater or boiled water but not tap water which has too high a level of calcium. It can be kept indoors as a houseplant in a sunny spot such as on a window ledge. As an exotic garden plant it grows best outside near a water feature such as a pond, in a wet and sunny spot.
