Biophyttum x snowman

Biophytum x snowman is a nice compact and slow growing plant. Biophytum x snowman is a herbaceous plant, several plants of the Biophytum genus are used traditionally as medicinal plants. They are believed to have a multipurpose medicinal working and are used for wound-healing, against bacteria and for several other purposes. When Biophytum x snowman blooms it produces small but beautiful looking flowers that will be coloured white, orange and yellow. The flowers might even remind you of narcissus sometimes. The coolest feature of Biophytum x snowman is that it folds it leaves during night-time or when the plant is irritated, when it is touched for example. Biophytum x snowman prefers bright but indirect sunlight, the leaves can get malformed with too much light and the plant will stay small when receiving insufficient light. The best place to keep it is on a window facing the east or west, but a window facing the north might be okay too however light exposure might then be insufficient at times. Araflora supplies with a well-draining and fertile soil, during the warmer months the soil should always be kept moist, but avoid drenching the soil. Araflora advises to water Biophytum x snowman with warm water. The leaves will get crinkled with insufficient water amounts and they will turn yellowish when you overwater the plant. Fertilizing can be done every two or three weeks during spring, summer and autumn with a water soluble fertilizer with half the dose. During wintertime the temperature should not drop below 16 degrees Celsius. During summertime Biophytum x snowman thrives with a temperature between 25 and 29 degrees Celsius.
