Product info

Anthurium acaule comes originally from the Caribbean where it can be seen high on the trunks of trees. Acaulis literally means “having no stem or stalk”. In Anthuriums, the colours of the spathe, the large sheathing bract enclosing the flower cluster, range from white, pink, red and purple to yellow and green. The colour of the spadix, the fleshy spike of minute flowers, is also variable. Here the spadix is almost black. Once the plant has been pollinated, coloured berries may form on the dark spadix.
