Plant care
Alocasia Calidora is an elephant ear plant that enjoys plenty of light but also grows well in partial shade. Direct sunlight is to be avoided as it damages the plant’s leaves. Alocasia calidora likes moist potting compound so its roots never dry out. Give it plenty of water, for example in a dish under the pot. Mist the plant regularly to ensure the right level of humidity. In winter, Alocasia calidora needs less water. The ambient temperature should be 15-25 degrees Celsius. If the leaves turn brown, they can be removed and new leaves will form. The potting mix must retain moisture well and may also be rich in nutrients. During the growing season, the plant can be fertilised once every two weeks in order to promote growth. Araflora can supply a variety of potting mixes that are ideal for Alocasia
