Begonia species Terrarium small creeping

Begonia46
Specifications
Begonia species terrarium small creeping
This begonia flourishes in a terrarium where it benefits from a warm and humid environment. It will never become too big for a terrarium because it can simply be pruned to keep its size down. The heart-shaped leaves are bright green. It produces numerous white flowers with a pretty cluster of stamens or a pistil at the centre.

Plant care

Looking after this terrarium begonia is fairly straightforward. Good air circulation will help prevent disease and infection It needs plenty of light but must not be exposed to very strong light. The temperature must never fall below 10⁰C or rise above 30⁰C. Humidity needs to be around 70% during the daytime and 90% at night. The growing medium must be kept moist at all times. Surrounding the plant with moss will help retain moisture. Fertilising once or twice a month will stimulate the plant’s growth. A peat-based mixture forms an ideal growing compound. Go to “Plant accessories” for more information about this and other products available from Araflora. Prune when the plant becomes leggy or too big.
