The Dionaea muscipula ‘Cup trap’ ‘Starter’ , a small,finely-rooted plant of the Venus fly-trap species looking very similar to the Dionaea muscipula ‘Kinchyaku’ meaning purse or moneybag in Japanese. The Dionaea muscipula ‘Cup trap’ ‘Starter’ is a unique Venus fly-trap mutant , because the extremities of its traps taper into a sort of bowl thereby catching many insects. The Dionaea muscipula ‘Cup trap’ ‘Starter’ is a Venus fly-trap mutant with fine-meshed root-system in a 5-centimetre pot. The stalks of the Dionaea muscipula ‘Cup trap’ ‘Starter’ are exceptionally wide and thus provide a firm support for the unique ‘moneybags’ of this Venus fly-trap mutant.
