Product info
Peperomia obtusifolia can be used in a terrarium for poison frogs, but is also suitable for larger forest inhabitants such as tree frogs and small to medium-sized lizards. This Peperomia species has a large distribution area: the south of the United States to the north of Bolivia. The conditions in which this plant grows in the wild also vary: from moderately moist to very moist. The leaves of Peperomia obtusifolia 'Variegata' are beautifully marked.. Peperomia obtusifolia is originally green, 'Variegata' is a cultivated variety.
Plant care
Give the Peperomia obtusifolia a light spot. Spray regularly with soft water (osmosis water). If the Peperomia obtusifolia is given enough light and moisture, the plant will grow quickly. Dry roots for a short time is no problem for this succulent-like plant, but it prefers slightly moist soil. Prune regularly as this plant grows quickly. Leaf cuttings can be placed back in the ground; a new plant grows out of this. Additional fertilization is not immediately necessary.
