Plant care

Huperzia pinifolia does not require a great deal of maintenance. It needs a warm and humid environment at a temperature between 15⁰ C en 30⁰ C. The best substrate for Huperzia pinifolia consists of a mixture of peat and sphagnum moss. Occasional doses of fertiliser will promote plant growth. Plants should be given water only when the substrate is begins to dry out. Good drainage and circulation of fresh air are essential to prevent the plant rotting or becoming infected. Huperzia pinifolia needs plenty of light but should not be exposed to direct sunlight. It should not be pruned either.
