Plant careThe exotic Brazilian plant, Dichorisandra thyrsiflora thrives indoors but also on a balcony or terrace. The Dichorisandra thyrsiflora prefers to be in a light spot or one in half shadow. The soil should stay moist; placing the container in a saucer filled with water will help. The humidity can be raised by occasionally spraying with water. For a short period of time the Dichorisandra thyrsiflora can stand a light frost of maximum minus 2°Celsius [28.4°F], but it is better to place the plant in a warmer environment when the temperature drops down to under 5°Celsius [41°F]. An Araflora mix with sufficient nutrition and capable of retaining water is a good choice for the potting soil of the Dichorisandra thyrsiflora.
