Aglaonema pumilum thrives with temperatures of around 20°C -25°C, during winter time it is important to keep the temperature above 16°C -18°C. Otherwise chilling damage might occur. Maybe even more important is to keep a stable temperature regime during the growth of the plant. Araflora uses a well-aerated and well-draining soil for Aglaonema pumilum. During the growing season, spring and summer, Aglaonema pumilum can be watered thoroughly after it is checked that the top soil is dry to touch. The watering frequency and amount can be decreased during the colder months. Araflora advises to provide the plant with some regular organic houseplant fertilizer bi-weekly from March to August. Araflora advises to place the plant in a spot with bright but filtered sunlight in order to keep the beautiful colouration of the leaves. Aglaonema pumilum is a tropical plant and therefore it will like to be misted on a regular basis, multiple times a week during the growing season but decrease the frequency a bit during the colder months.
