Neoregelia is a genus from the Bromeliad family, plants from this genus are popular due to their striking foliage. Neoregelia refers to Edward Von Regel, he was the director of the Imperial Botanic Garden of St. Petersburg back in 1860. Neoregelia plants are native to the tropics of Columbia, Peru and Brazil.
