Product info
There are many different kinds of Venus flytraps. Dionaea muscipula 'Bold' is an exception cultivar – a cultivated variety produced through selecttive breeding. Venus flytraps are originally from North America where they grow in boggy conditions and sunny locations. In the summer months, their leaf stalks grow longer in order to capture as much sunlight as possible. In autumn and spring, their leaf stalks grow at a more leisurely pace.
Plant care
Plants need to be kept moist with rainwater, boiled water or demineralised water. Hard water full of minerals such as calcium is unsuitable as it may cause root rot. Venus flytraps do not need feeding as they obtain nutrients from the prey they catch.
