Product infoThe leaves of Begonia ‘Fedor’ are pale green-blue with very dark veins. It grows as a bush, 40 centimetres tall and 50 centimetres wide with very large leaves. The purple undersides of the leaves are particularly attractive. Its flowers vary in colour from pale to dark pink with a cluster of bright yellow stamens or pistils at their centres. The plant produces several flowers at any one time.
Plant careBegonia ‘Fedor’ is not very demanding. It needs light but must not be exposed to direct sunlight. A daytime temperature of 20⁰C and night-time temperature of 15⁰C are sufficient. It can be placed outdoors as long as the temperature does not drop below 15⁰C and it is not exposed to rain. Indoors, the growing medium can be kept moist by placing the pot in a dish containing water. The mixture must retain some moisture but still have good drainage. Humidity needs to be in the order of 70% during the day and 90% at night. Begonia ‘Fedor’ benefits from being fertilised once or twice a month.
