Plant care

Begonia ‘Fedor’ is not very demanding. It needs light but must not be exposed to direct sunlight. A daytime temperature of 20⁰C and night-time temperature of 15⁰C are sufficient. It can be placed outdoors as long as the temperature does not drop below 15⁰C and it is not exposed to rain. Indoors, the growing medium can be kept moist by placing the pot in a dish containing water. The mixture must retain some moisture but still have good drainage. Humidity needs to be in the order of 70% during the day and 90% at night. Begonia ‘Fedor’ benefits from being fertilised once or twice a month. A peat-based mixture with another type of substrate forms a suitable potting compound.. See “Plant accessories” for more information about this and other useful products.
