Sundew 'Drosera rotundifolia'

Drosera rotundifolia or ‘round-leaved sundew’ is a carnivorous plant that occurs primarily in the Northern hemisphere. This carnivorous plant is most suitable for a windowsill or even outside.
As insects get stuck on its trapping leaves, the tentacles, which are covered in dewdrops, fold around the insect. Since Drosera rotundifolia primarily grows in colder climates, it is dormant in the wintertime.

Drosera rotundifolia grows best in an airy soil mixture of peat and perlite.
During the summer (growing season) it's best to put a dish with a layer of water underneath the pot.
