Byblis-Rainbow-plants

These richly blooming plants are found in Australia, where they prefer to grow in direct sunlight. With this species the stem, flower and the leaves are covered with droplets of dew. The sticky dew droplets enable Byblis to catch small insects. In contrast to the Sundew, the leaves of Byblis cannot grasp its prey. Insects remain stuck and suffocate in the dew droplets allowing them to be digested by the plant.
