The Pinguicula primuliflora can be kept indoors as well as on a balcony or terrace as long as the temperature stays above 5° Celsius [41° F]. This carnivorous plant likes to be in a light spot but also does well in half shadow. The soil of the Pinguicula primuliflora should be really wet. Therefore always place the container of this plant on a saucer filled with water. Rain water is best but the plant also does well on tap water. The soil should contain only few nutrients, so a mix of sand and peat is excellent. It is not necessary to feed this plant extra insects since it is very effective in catching its own insects. Moreover it makes very economical use of its nutrients.
