Tropical pitcher plant 'Nepenthes mirabilis' 'Thailand red'

CarniNep36
Specifications
Nepenthes mirabilis 'Thailand red'
This is the most well-known of the 150 species of Nepenthes. It is also the most widespread in the wild, from China to Australia. However, the special red variety available from Araflora is anything but commonplace. Nepenthes mirabilis is easy to grow which makes it ideal for a novice grower with little or no experience of carnivorous tropical plants.

Plant care

As with other Nepenthes species, Nepenthes mirabilis “Thailand red” requires a great deal of sunlight, but not exposure to direct sunlight or it will dry out. The best temperature to cultivate this species is between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius, certainly no lower than 10 degrees Celsius or higher than 30 degrees. It should be watered regularly with rainwater or distilled water. It also needs spraying regularly with water and to be kept in an environment with a high level of humidity. The best growing medium is neutral to slightly acidic peat. No additional feeding with plant food is required.
