Product infoMicrosorum diversifolium enjoys a warm temperature but must be kept away from direct sunlight. A shaded location indoors is therefore recommended. This is a sturdy type of fern that can be moved outside in summer to a well-shaded spot in the garden. The kangaroo fern has large, deeply sculpted leaves with flecks on the upper surfaces corresponding to spore clusters on the underside of its leaves.
Plant careMicrosorum diversifolium needs regular watering. If it becomes too dry, the tips of its leaves will turn brown and look much less decorative. Make sure the potting mix is not too wet to prevent the roots from rotting. Like many other ferns, it likes a loosely constituted growing medium that permits good drainage. In the growing season, it should be fertilised with plant food once every three weeks.
