Product info

Everybody knows the Aloë vera plant, yet often not as a living plant, but only as an ingredient in food or a beauty product like moisturizer. As an actual plant it is a an easy and succulent one which can be kept in living rooms or in the office. Aloë vera is very decorative and grows well. Aloë vera plants also look nice, with their thick green leaves with pretty whitish spots and a jagged edge. They grow as a crown from the center of the plant. When Aloë vera blooms a stalk with small flowers grows from the center of the plant. Just like other kinds of Aloë the Aloë vera deals well with drought and occurs naturally in Africa. This Araflora plant is sold as decoration and is not suited for consumption.

Plant care

Aloë vera likes a bright spot, out of direct bright sunlight. Drought and heat aren't a problem for Aloë vera plants. Keep the plant's soil slightly moist by watering it twice a week. When Aloë vera isn't growing, usually in winter, the soil is allowed to dry out. Aloë vera likes temperatures between 2 and 35 degrees Celsius, room temperature is ideal. Aloë vera does well in a potting soil made of leaf mold and clay. The larger the pot Aloë vera is kept in, the larger the plant will grow. Periodically giving the plant some plant nutrition will also promote the plant's size.
