Product info

Ceropegia dichotoma is endemic to the Canary Islands where it grows on dry and sunny hillsides up to about 600 metres. It averages 30 to 120 centimetres in height and forms a group of sausage-like stems that protrude vertically out of the ground. The leaves of Ceropegia dichotoma are scarce, narrow and appear to be stretched. The leaves quickly disappear as its surroundings dry out. Ceropegia dichotoma's yellow, lantern-shaped flowers are long and tubular with five narrow lobes joined at the top. The flowers attract small flies for pollination. This is one of the few features that Ceropegia dichotoma shares with other Ceropegia.

Plant care

Care of Ceropegia dichotoma is fairly straightforward. It is one of the most drought-resistant of the genus, requiring excellent drainage and a bright, sunny spot. The soil should be allowed to dry out between watering sessions. This plant is not frost-resistant and needs plenty of warmth to thrive.
